Academic and Behaviour Mentor - Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs in mainstream settings** Are you an experienced TA ready to take the next step in your career? As an Academic and Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals. This can include working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, depending on the individual needs of each student. Your role will also involve tracking and monitoring the academic, emotional, and social progress of the students and attending regular meetings to discuss their progress. Key responsibilities: Provide academic and behaviour support to students with special educational needs Build and maintain professional relationships with students and school staff Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential Utilise behaviour management techniques to promote a positive working environment Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support the overall well-being of students Requirements: Clear and up-to-date DBS (Teaching Personnel can support with this) Committed, confident, and able to handle challenging situations with ease Experience working with special educational needs, youth support, or sports coaching Team teach trained (preferred but not essential) Behaviour management experience This role is ideal for candidates who have previous experience as a TA or HLTA in a school setting.
