We are seeking experienced nurses who share our passion for excellent dementia care and can demonstrate professionalism and energy in the home. We are looking for somebody who: Has a valid NMC PIN Has previous experience of working with the elderly / dementia Is conversant with the NMC Code Is a competent computer user Is a good communicator, written and verbally Has previous experience of leading a small team of care staff What will I be doing? Your key responsibilities as a Registered Nurse with us will include, but are not limited to: Acting as the Named Nurse for a group of residents Updating and contributing to care plans Organising and supervising the work of the Care Team Assisting in the induction and orientation of new members of the Care Team Acting as a mentor and undertake teaching of carers and students What can we offer? Brendoncare Alton provides residential and nursing care for 80 people, as well as care for people living with dementia. A close care complex adjoins the home providing the independence and security of home ownership, together with access to many caring and communal facilities, giving peace of mind. Whilst our home in Alton is large, each household is run like it's own small nursing home. This means each household has a dedicated nurse, team of carers and facilities. For example, each household has its own small laundry room for the resident's needs, in addition to the larger laundry serving the whole building. The medication rounds are not done via a trolly; each resident has their own locked medication cupboard. Who are Brendoncare?
