Job Description - Practice Coordinator, PCP (Falmouth) (250109-50008755)
Purpose of Position: Point person for day to day activities at the practice. Perform physician office activities, including front office support, patient scheduling, physician referrals, medical records, and other administrative tasks. Reports necessary information to practice manager.
Description
* Scheduling patients to maximize access.
* Maintains practice financial integrity by ensuring all required referrals and/or authorizations including insurance eligibilities are in place for all patients before or at time-of-service.
* Perform non-clinical activities within the physician practice to ensure the highest levels of patient satisfaction; create and maintain effective office procedures and systems.
* Responsible for staff scheduling and arranging for coverage for staff vacations and illness and manager’s designee for completing payroll in the automated time keeping system.
* Serves as a daily resource for staff and providers. Relays necessary information to Practice Manager.
* Oversee medical records; ensure compliance with policies/procedures and acceptable medical record keeping practices.
* Ensure that incoming calls are handled in an efficient, professional manner, responding back to patient inquiries in a timely manner.
* Works in conjunction with the Practice Manager to maintain patient databases and other organizational data. Compile reports as needed. Oversee mailing operations and distributes to personnel and departments accordingly.
* Orders supplies and materials as needed for the day-to-day practice operations.
* Coordinate and monitor billing operations, responding to patients billing concerns.
* Monitors EMR inboxes to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
* Assume accountability for other practice projects under the direction of the Practice Manager.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Medical Terminology knowledge.
* Knowledge of various insurance authorization/referral requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
* Requires at least two years of medical office experience.
* Experience with current office technology, proficient in computer applications including EMR and automated scheduling systems.
