Our client is a well-established business with a diverse portfolio of clients. They are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Accountant to oversee the financial operations. This role is integral to the business and requires a proactive professional capable of managing the end-to-end accounting processes while supporting strategic financial planning.
You will be responsible for
* Budgeting and forecasting
* Complete year-end financial accounts for each entity
* Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
* Prepare and submit VAT returns where applicable
* Record all financial transactions, including payments, charges, and other income
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers for each entity
* Monitor and record all income for all entities
* Reconcile payments to ensure accuracy and follow up on any missing payments
* Prepare and allocate charges for each unit
* Monitor and account for income and expenditure
* Reconcile charge accounts and provide annual statements for customers
* Manage supplier invoices for facilities, maintenance, utilities, and other related expenses
* Ensure timely and accurate payments to contractors and service providers
* Monthly and quarterly reporting
* Prepare financial statements for each entity, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
* Generate variance analyses to compare actual results with budgets and forecasts
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations
Skills and experience
A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred, but our client will also consider experienced candidates who can demonstrate practical experience in a similar role. You’ll be a strong communicator, possess excellent organisational skills, and have a strong customer-focused approach.
