Architectural Technician Location: Northamptonshire Competitive Salary (£30,000 - £42,000 DOE) This small practice, set in a rural location is keen to continue their rapid growth across the commercial and residential sectors and is looking to recruit a passionate and motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail to support this growth. This role would be ideal for an Architectural Technician, a Part 2 qualified Architect Assistant, or a newly qualified Architect. Since 2021 the practice has seen significant growth and has secured a number of larger scale projects. Job Description Deliver projects through all RIBA stages from conception to completion. Interpreting client requirements and integrating them into the project concept. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and ensure design feasibility. Use creative, innovative design to achieve practical solutions tailored to each project. Have a sound understanding of construction technology to produce high quality, detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documents. Knowledge of planning policies to produce planning packs for submission, ensuring clear communication of aesthetic intent. Ensure compliance with building regulations, standards and industry best practices. Management of multiple projects, simultaneously to meet deadlines efficiently. Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project alignment and success. Provide guidance to junior members of staff. Qualifications & Experience Accredited qualification in Architectural Technology with minimum 3 years post qualification experience. CIAT registered. Creative mindset with a strong portfolio showcasing your talents. Full UK Driving License. Knowledge & Skills A proficient user of AutoCAD and confident working knowledge of SketchUp. Good knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and similar programs to assist with the production of exceptional information. Up to date knowledge of relevant regulations, building codes, and best practices through proactive reading, learning and research. Excellent client facing communication skills to present ideas, schemes and designs effectively. Ability to collaborate with professional peers and governing bodies. Organisation and time management is essential to ensure projects run on time. A proactive mindset with the ability to use your own initiative and problem solve.
