Domaine Roy & fils is an estate winery producing organically farmed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We are passionate about creating exceptional wines and providing an unparalleled guest experience in our tasting room. We are looking for a dedicated, service-oriented individual to join our hospitality team as a Tasting Room Sales Associate.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Experience: Provide exceptional, personalized service in person, over the phone, and via email. Host wine tastings with enthusiasm and expertise, sharing the winery’s story in a way that connects with guests. Engage with customers, including tour drivers and industry visitors, to ensure a memorable experience.
2. Sales and Upselling: Focus on achieving individual and team sales goals by promoting wine sales, wine club memberships, and events. Use upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities and contribute to team success.
3. Tasting Room Operations: Perform daily opening and closing duties, including cleaning, polishing glassware, restocking wine, inventory management, and keeping the tasting room organized.
4. Reservation and Order Management: Accurately process reservations, sales, and orders using our POS system. Handle shipping requests and demonstrate an understanding of all shipping protocols.
5. CRM and Administration: Maintain, build, and utilize Domaine Roy’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. Assist management with administrative tasks as needed, including OLCC compliance and completing the Daily Report.
6. Networking and Representation: Represent Domaine Roy at industry events and strengthen our referral network through local outreach. Stay up-to-date on local wineries, lodging, and dining options to offer concierge-level service to guests.
7. Team Collaboration and Growth: Uphold a positive, team-driven mentality. Participate in educational activities to continually improve your wine and hospitality knowledge. Work with the team to meet monthly sales and membership goals.
8. Customer Engagement: Engage with guests about food, wine, and local dining recommendations, creating lasting connections and enhancing the overall experience. Show a love for wine and hospitality, with a desire to learn about winemaking and help during harvest if needed.
Job Requirements:
1. 2+ years of experience in a winery or wine-focused restaurant.
2. Familiarity with the Oregon wine industry and a strong passion for wine and hospitality.
3. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
4. Valid OLCC Alcohol Server Permit and Oregon Food Handlers License.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Motivated to meet and exceed sales goals.
7. Familiarity with TOCK and Wine Direct is a plus.

Work Environment:
1. 30-40 hours per week, with weekend availability required. Flexibility to work up to 40 hours during peak seasons.
2. Primarily based in our tasting room, with occasional event work.
