Main duties of the job
1. The successful candidate will be expected to provide medical leadership and participate in strategic development of the service.
2. Lead the MDT and be the responsible clinician for the patients under his care.
3. Provide high-quality psychiatric assessments of patients referred to the service in a timely fashion.

St Peters Hospital in Newport, South Wales offers accommodation split into single-gender units and provides specialist treatment and nursing care for men and women with degenerative neuropsychiatric conditions and Acquired Brain Injury. St Peters focuses on delivering positive outcomes for our patients, their families and our commissioners.

* Dementia
* Huntingtons Disease
* Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
* Organic Personality Disorder
A trusted NHS partner since 2005, we offer treatment to informal patients, individuals detained under the Mental Health Act as well as those undergoing treatment under the Mental Capacity Act. St Peters also meets the needs of patients subject to Ministry of Justice restriction orders.
