About the role
As a Supply Chain & Product Governance Consultant, you’ll be instrumental in establishing and maintaining high-quality governance standards within the NIS Supply Chain & Placement team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide effective oversight and monitoring of NIS Governance Frameworks, ensuring business assurance and addressing any risks or issues that arise.
You’ll support the initial design and ongoing monitoring of Frameworks, including Product Governance, Fair Value, Delegated Authority requirements for Claims and Underwriting, and market onboarding practices. Additionally, you will contribute to the design, review, and continuous improvement of these frameworks, ensuring they align with business risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Your role involves monitoring and reporting on the skills, knowledge, and ethical standards of individuals with delegated authority, identifying and addressing quality and performance issues to maintain competence.
You’ll proactively plan, report, and analyse data for assurance checks to identify risks, recommend actions, and inform management decisions.

This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. About you
You’re a highly skilled professional with a strong background in governance, compliance, and risk management within the insurance industry. Your technical expertise includes the ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data, experience in general insurance and regulation, process improvement, change management, and compliance. You possess a Financial Services qualification and have a proven track record of designing and implementing effective governance frameworks and controls.
You will also have the following:
* A keen ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Your analytical skills enable you to assess risks accurately and recommend effective solutions to enhance governance practices.
* A dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers. You demonstrate a clear understanding of customer needs and ensure they receive high-quality service, contributing to improved customer outcomes.
* A meticulous approach ensures that all aspects of governance frameworks and processes are thoroughly reviewed and maintained. You consistently identify and address quality and performance issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders. Your collaborative approach ensures alignment with regulatory and industry standards, facilitating the successful delivery of business strategies and projects.
* Exceptional resilience, maintaining focus and effectiveness even in challenging situations.
