Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Break Fix Server Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Working on HP, Dell, and IBM Servers.
* Server provisioning, racking, stacking, and configuring Servers.
* Supporting Trainee Data Centre Engineers as needed.
* Troubleshooting hardware faults and arranging replacements.
* Installing and decommissioning redundant equipment.
* Providing expert hardware support.
* Proactively updating customers and resolving service issues.
* Collaborating with the support team to ensure high-quality technical support and customer service.
* Liaising with onsite support engineers and other sites.
* Managing all incoming calls and emails to the data centre support function.
* Reporting and escalating customer problems to third-party suppliers.
* Responding to customers within agreed SLAs.
* Following escalation processes and monitoring tickets to resolution.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in data centres, including break fixing.
* Experience with HP and Dell Servers.
* Physically able to lift Servers on/off racks without assistance.
* Valid driving licence and own car (public transport not suitable for shift times).
* Ability to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Shift Details:
Working on a shift rota: Early - 07:00-14:30, Late - 14:30-22:00, Weeknight - 22:00-07:00, Weekend day - 07:00-19:00, Weekend night - 19:00-07:00
