Please see below for a detailed job description of the role.
We are pleased to advertise for a Clinical Research Practitioner (CRP) in the Neurosurgery and Stroke Research Team. This is a new CRP post within our growing team, and would ideally suit someone with relevant research experience and qualifications.
You will need to have significant experience working in clinical research, ideally within the neurology or stroke specialities, though this is not essential as we will support your development in the role.
University Hospital Southampton is one of England's largest acute teaching Trusts, offering a wide range of learning and development opportunities to support your career aspirations.
Located on the south coast with an international airport and direct rail links to London, Southampton offers an ideal setting to live and work, with the New Forest, South Downs and Jurassic Coast.
We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalizing your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.

You will provide specialist research and clinical care to research participants within your education and training scope. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating delegated research studies; you will be guided and mentored by our experienced senior research nurses and Allied Health Professionals to develop within your role in providing gold-standard care to our patients.
Working in clinical research, protecting the patient from harm and maintaining their rights is essential and will involve you acting as a patient advocate.
This is a full-time role, though we will consider applications from candidates wanting slightly fewer hours. We run a 24/7 research delivery service requiring your availabilty for unsociable hours working, though in practice we work Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00.
