Are you an experienced Branch/Store/Unit Manager looking to develop your career further? Are you ready to step into a dedicated specialist operation? We are seeking a strong people/sales/customer service manager to take the reins of our Luton Branch. We are BSS, part of Travis Perkins Group, and we are planning for the long term.
Where will you be working?
BSS is a supplier of pipeline, process, heating and mechanical services equipment; our customers range from large national contractors (the projects we support make us very proud!) to small, local independents, our customers are varied and so are our jobs. Our Luton branch employs 14 staff made up of sales, drivers and warehouse staff, we run 4 delivery vehicles.
The role of Branch Manager is one of the most challenging yet rewarding positions in our business, and this is no exception. Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm and Friday 7am - 4:30pm, NO WEEKENDS!

What will you be doing?
5. Developing strong relationships with customers and suppliers in order to build profitable business growth. Build regular, productive and focused contact with the wider team in order to drive value add to the customers
6. Manage the full operation of the branch and ensure that you meet all standards for safety, deliver storage efficiency, housekeeping and support the ability of customers to find the right products
7. Be in control of sales, margin and overheads to exceed targets and deliver best in class financial performance
8. Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing
9. You will lead, motivate, engage, delegate to empower your team to work together and deliver great service for our customers
