They have a great opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis, initially working on new build housing project in Derry City, Northern Ireland. The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing an integral phase of the project, reporting to a Senior Site Manager.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the construction site, including sub-contractors, health and safety of personnel, quality, and workmanship of labourManaging and co-ordinating site labour and agency staffResponsible for assisting in the management and day to day running on site activityAssisting the Site Manager managing the short-term programme to maximise efficiency and ensure completion is in accordance with the scheduleAssisting the Site Manager with management responsibilities for all Health and Safety policies and procedureAssisting with the management of subcontractors, employees and dealing with any issues as and when requiredDelivery of projects on time and to a high specificationResponsible for all document control as an integral part of the project controlMaintain the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies and procedures
The Ideal Person:
Degree qualified or other relevant qualificationsMain Contracting backgroundExperience with groundworksNumeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and ExcelA full driving licence and relevant site cardsExcellent communication skills and good general commercial awarenessMust be able to use own initiative, taking accountability and responsibility for a project from start to finishDeadline driven, instilling motivation in the team to hit key targets
