This full-time, temporary role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with students, supporting them in their academic, social, and personal development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students access learning, ensuring they receive the guidance they need to achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about education and looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting. While prior experience is desirable, it is not essential, as full training and support will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs. Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons. Help students develop key literacy, numeracy, and communication skills. Support students with behaviour management and emotional well-being. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support individual learning plans. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Uphold safeguarding policies to ensure the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential. A patient, proactive, and supportive approach to working with students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
