Make a Difference Every Day: Community Care Supervisor - Compassion First Home Care
This supervisor role is 11:30am - 8pm, 4 days per week. Mon-Thurs & Tues - Fri, alternating each week. This role includes being part of the on-call system, every third week.
Compassion First Home Care is seeking a dedicated Community Care Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for care staff who are looking to progress their career within health and social care or candidates already in supervisory roles within care (ideally domiciliary care). Suitable candidates must live locally to Stratford upon Avon and have the right to work in the UK. (No visa sponsorship will be given for this role)
Your ultimate role will be to support the care staff team as a senior, whilst reporting into the Registered Manager and Care Coordinator with any developments within the team and/or customer base to ensure a responsiveness to concerns, developments and opportunities to learn and improve.
This role will include regular office hours 4 days per week in Stratford upon Avon to support the management team. You will also be responsible for providing shadowing, maintaining high levels of training completion within the care staff team, sharing on-call responsibility with the rest of the office team and completing competency checks in addition to maintaining your own regular care calls with our customers.
Please be aware, this role will include travelling to and from customers' homes across Warwickshire. Mileage is paid; however, a successful applicant should be aware that regular travel is involved in the role.
Other responsibilities within this role include:
1. Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to our customers in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living, medication management, providing companionship & emotional support, personal care and much more.
2. Build strong relationships with customers and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with respect and understanding.
3. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all care provided.
4. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
5. Support the Registered Manager with administrative tasks and operational duties.
6. Mentor and coach care staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow and excel.
7. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
8. Contribute to regular quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a caregiver or in a related field.
2. Level 3 qualification in Health and Social care.
3. An awareness of CQC and their regulation framework.
4. Good leadership ability.
5. Strong compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Detail-oriented and proficient in record-keeping.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
10. A commitment to upholding Compassion First Home Care's values of respect, dignity, and excellence.
Bonus points if you have:
1. Experience in home care or a related field.
2. Supervisory experience.
3. CPR/First Aid certification.
