This is an exciting opportunity for a progressive Band 5 or Band 6 who wishes to develop specialist skills in Children’s Physiotherapy within a supportive team.
The post available is based in the North and East of the County, but flexibility and the need for travel across the county is essential.
We are looking for self-motivated, friendly and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our established Children’s Therapy Team.
Your job will be to provide specialised physiotherapy assessment and management to children and young people with varying needs in clinics, community settings, and special schools, either face to face or using virtual methods. Being a car driver is essential to this role.
Some previous experience working with children in a qualified physiotherapy role is desirable.
The service offers structured Personal Development Review (PDR) and Clinical Supervision systems, and actively promotes Continued Professional Development through in-service and other training.
The initial banding for this role will be dependent upon experience and competencies. It will be suitable for an experienced Band 6 or a progressive Band 5 who wishes to develop their skills into a Band 6 role. We are committed to providing training and support in order to develop core competencies to achieve Band 6 level.
To work as an autonomous practitioner and to take a major role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients who may have complex problems.
To hold responsibility for own caseload.
To participate in the education and training of junior staff, support workers, Physiotherapy students, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
