We’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Arboricultural Officer with a solid understanding of arboriculture, including risk management, contractor oversight, trees in relation to planning, and strong customer service skills. Key Responsibilities: Management of the councils’ tree stocks in collaboration with contractors and surveyors. Respond promptly to enquiries about the councils’ tree stocks. Consider, recommend and action new TPO proposals; assess and determine TPO applications and conservation area notifications. Provide consultation responses for development applications. Work within a specialist, customer-focused team, reporting to the Head of Development Services. About You: To excel in this role, you’ll need: A relevant qualification in Arboriculture or equivalent experience. Experience with planning controls and regulations related to trees. Strong knowledge of planning law and procedures concerning trees. Proficiency in IT tools, including Word, Excel, and industry-specific software. Excellent written communication skills for clear, concise reporting. The ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Why Join Us?
