Job Description
Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team. The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
Responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for all aspects of recruitment, assessment, support, and supervision to approved foster carers, connected carers, and private foster carers.
2. Assessment and support service to provide consistency in support that we provide to foster carers.
3. Committed to establishing trusting relationships with their carers during the assessment stage, building on this further post-approval and supporting them during their first placements when they are at their most vulnerable.
4. Working knowledge of relevant legislation and experience of working in children’s services.
5. Be enthusiastic and highly committed to providing support and challenge to our foster carers to ensure that the children of Waltham Forest receive quality care in a warm family environment.
6. Liaise with other professionals.
7. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
8. 3 month Temporary Contract.
9. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
