About the Role We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and social well-being of our pupils. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group support to pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement support plans for pupils with specific needs. Supervise pupils at break times and lunchtimes, ensuring a safe and positive environment. Support the delivery of pastoral care programmes such as anti-bullying initiatives and social skills training. Build positive relationships with pupils and their families. Contribute to the overall well-being of the school community. Essential Skills and Experience: Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong empathy and understanding of children's needs. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good organisational and time management skills. A calm and patient demeanour. Desirable Skills and Experience: Relevant qualifications in childcare, youth work, or a related field. Experience of using de-escalation techniques.
