Location: Oldbury
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Type: Full Time - Permanent

The roles and responsibilities of a Quality Engineer:
1. Ensure quality control and quality assurance for high volume.
2. Review & analyze Non-Conforming Product (NCP) on a daily basis. Lead the operations team in root cause analysis and continual improvement techniques.
3. Management of QMS and drive towards new standards IATF and ISO 14001.
4. Using quality tools to drive continuous improvement to the business.
5. Assist in NPI & APQP documentation as required, including PPAP documentation.
6. Quality management of customer and suppliers.
7. Lead site auditing, systems, process, and product.
8. Lead customer and external audits.
Requirements of the Quality Engineer:
1. Management of small teams in a manufacturing environment.
2. Organizational skills & team building skills.
3. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Sound understanding of inspection techniques for plastic mouldings.
5. Knowledge of the ISO 9001 quality policies and system requirements.
6. Knowledge of IATF (essential) & VDA 6.3 audit policies & procedure requirements.
7. Knowledge of health & safety and environmental procedures.
8. Must have 3-5 years experience in Quality Engineering in an Automotive Environment.
9. Initiative and problem-solving abilities (Quality Core Tools).
10. Good communication and time management skills.
11. Customer focused.
12. Conversant with Microsoft systems such as Outlook, Word & Excel.
