In this role, you will:
* Work alongside experienced staff, providing individual and small group support to students.
* Utilise a range of techniques to manage challenging behaviour, promote emotional regulation, and develop positive social skills.
* Implement tailored learning programs designed to address specific student needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of resources, ensuring a well-equipped and stimulating learning environment.
* Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
* Support the use of various tools and strategies to engage students and encourage their active participation in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist support in specific curriculum areas, including the preparation and maintenance of resources.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities.
* Supervise small groups or whole classes as needed.
* Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring students stay on task and feel supported.
* Provide feedback to students on their progress and achievements.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will need:
