Area Sales Manager – Civil Engineering and Groundwork Products
Job Title: Technical Sales Manager – Civil Engineering and Groundwork products
Construction Sector: Structural waterproofing & gas protection systems, main contractors, brickwork contractors, framework contractors, structural engineers, design & build contractors, private developer house builders, groundworkers, civil engineering contractors and Infrastructure contractors.
Area to be covered: North West & North Wales.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Field sales position, selling a large portfolio of specialist building materials (2000+ products), including established company branded waterproofing & gas membrane systems.
2. Driving up revenue from North West based depot, acting as the dedicated field sales representative.
3. Selling to various contractors; changing and breaking specifications.
4. Contributing towards the branch target of approx. £10,000-£12,000 per day.
5. Growing awareness of our client's brand and directing customers to the depot.
6. 50% of your time focused on opening new customer accounts, 50% managing the existing pipeline of projects.
7. Typically 2-3 well qualified appointments per day.
8. Utilising ABI lead generation software and existing customers to develop the company customer base.
9. Reporting to the Regional Director and managing your own diary.
10. Typical projects within commercial, housing (private developments), civil engineering, transportation, and infrastructure.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Proven track record in construction field sales.
2. Must have sold to contractors.
3. Contacts within relevant sectors may be advantageous.
4. Open to builders merchant or building products manufacturer field sales backgrounds.
5. May consider a graduate engineer with a small amount of field sales experience.
6. Autonomous and comfortable with construction site work / site visits.
7. New business hunter, with an ability to knock on doors with passion/enthusiasm.
8. Preferably looking for career progression.
9. Ability to work under own initiative, highly motivated, conscientious, pro-active, and organised.
10. All technical and structural building product backgrounds will be considered.
