POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this essential position, you will oversee and optimize this industry-leader’s cold chain logistics operations. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all shipping processes are executed with precision and efficiency. As the ideal candidate, you will be adept at fostering clear and concise communication with both clients and team members, demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and a strong drive for success.
* Oversee and enhance the company's cold chain logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of temperature-sensitive products.
* Accurately input orders into the system and arrange air freight bookings with airlines to meet delivery schedules.
* Collaborate with international offices and suppliers to organize shipments, ensuring compliance with global standards.
* Assist in obtaining and preparing essential shipping documents, including CITES, FDA, USDA, and APHA UK certifications, to ensure seamless international transit.
* Assemble and validate temperature-controlled packaging units to maintain product integrity during transit.
* Keep clients and internal systems updated on shipment progress, ensuring transparency until completion.
* Perform various office and warehouse tasks as needed to support operations.
* Participate in an on-call roster for evenings and weekends to address urgent matters, with potential for compensated overtime in line with UK employment regulations.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of three years in a managerial role, preferably within logistics or supply chain management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Strong skills in MS Office, Windows OS, email, and internet research to effectively manage logistics operations.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members.
* Proven ability to manage time efficiently, handling multiple tasks and systems concurrently.
* A solid understanding of global geography to facilitate international logistics planning.
* Willingness to adapt to varying shifts and schedules as operational needs dictate.
