Blair West are supporting Dyer Engineering to find a Senior Technical Account Manager. This role is a key leadership position within the Commercial Department, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual to lead the Technical Account Management team while building and maintaining strategic customer relationships.
The opportunity:
* Lead and mentor the Technical Account Management team to ensure they achieve customer satisfaction and business goals.
* Manage key strategic accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and identifying opportunities for business growth.
* Provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, from pre-sales consultation to post-implementation support.
* Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure their seamless integration into the company’s operations.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, planning, quality, and production teams to resolve challenges and deliver exceptional service.
* Deliver commercial and technical quotations, identifying and mitigating risks during the quotation process.
* Support the introduction of new products through the NPI process, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
* Track and report key account performance, providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
* Facilitate presentations, workshops, and client training sessions to demonstrate Dyer Engineering’s capabilities.
You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
* A proven track record in Technical Account Management, preferably within a fabrication or machining environment.
* An HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in manufacturing and engineering with the ability to interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop others.
* Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
* Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Proficiency in using MS Office tools and relevant IT packages.
* The ability to travel independently between sites as required.
