Summary TAs work with and care for children of all ages. They play an integral part in pupils well-being; ensuring pupils thrive in a positive environment. TAs will be offered a personalised pathway to develop in up to two specialist areas: Special Educational Needs and Disability, Early Years, Behaviour, English as an Additional Language and Assessment. Wage £6.40 per hour Hours 8:30 - 3:30 including lunch break 30 hours per week, term time only What youll do at work Supporting students to accomplish their daily goals in a variety of subjects Work with teachers to understand and support assessment Develop effective and informed practice Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children Develop strategies for support Your training plan The programme offers a blended approach including virtual classrooms, webinars, work-based tasks and online assignments. We use an online platform (BUD) that helps you learn the topics and skills, reflect on your practice and build your portfolio. Candidates are not required to attend college, instead, this will include off the job training hours (OTJH) used throughout this apprenticeship. These OTJH will be within working hours of Employment- e.g., 30 hours per week 6 hours per week OTJH, less than 30 hours is 20% OTJH.
