Job summary
The Eating Disorders Service is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Eating Disorders Dietician.
The Eating Disorders service is highly regarded and provides specialist assessment, treatment and support for individuals who are experiencing an eating disorder and their families within Gloucestershire.
There is a strong need to increase the Dietetic input into the service and after a successful business case the service has received additional funds to support the Dietetic agenda for Eating Disorders.
Main duties of the job
The All-Age Eating Disorders Service consists of 2 specialist teams: The Risks High in Eating Disorders (RHED) team and The Assessment and Treatment team. This role will join the current sole Dietitian to provide a more comprehensive delivery of dietetic assessments and treatment for patients aged 6 years + across the two parts of the service. The post holder will:
Work as a Highly specialist dietitian within a community team which accepts referrals for children (aged 6 years +), young people and adults from a wide range of multi-agency partners as well as providing an effective and timely response to urgent referrals.
Undertake clinical leadership and/or other project management tasks as requested as part of service improvement initiatives including provision for patients with ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), Type 1 Diabetes, Disordered Eating and other special dietary requirements.
To support the development of a community ARFID (Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) treatment pathway as part of the wider Eating Disorders Service.
Undertake clinical dietetic leadership and/or other project management tasks as requested. To actively contribute to service development and other continuous improvement cycle and ensure Eating Disorders continues to provide high quality, safe and effective services.

Job responsibilities
This is an exciting and innovative opportunity for an experienced Dietician to join the Eating Disorders Service. You will work autonomously alongside an MDT typically compromising of RMNs, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Psychologists, Psychiatrists and GPs. You will provide specialist advice and support for other clinicians both within the ED service as well as other clinicians from system partners.
The team provides advice, consultation and support to primary care, social care, voluntary and educational staff as well as members of the public. The team promotes an awareness of eating disorders and appropriate interventions to the wider public.

Essential
5. Significant experience in Dietetics including experience of working with Eating Disorder cases either in the community or inpatient setting.
6. Experience of participation in quality improvement activities.
7. Experience of participation in clinical governance activities.
8. Experience of developing and delivering group work.
Desirable
9. Post registration paediatric dietetic experience
10. Experience of supervising students on placement
Qualifications
Essential
11. Degree/post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
12. Recognised degree registration under the Health and Care Professions' Council.
Desirable
13. Further Training in Behaviour Change, Counselling skills, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing skills.
