If you are, then an excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quality Control Technician to join a leading FMCG/Food manufacturing business working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Formulation and Quality Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
Main Purpose
* Carry out sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure customer and company requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
* Collation of sample results and distribution of these to stakeholders.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* To collect, prepare, sample, and analyse raw materials and finished products using the techniques and equipment available according to defined QC plan.
* To raise any concerns or irregularities regarding test results to Quality and Compliance Manager or Formulations Manager.
* To ensure that all relevant quality procedures are followed and to support development of new procedures where required.
* To identify any significant non-conformances in feed produced; and report to the Quality and Compliance Manager or Formulations Manager.
* To return all sampled products to store and ensure these are kept in a safe and easily obtainable manner.
* To record all test results on appropriate forms, excel sheets and databases.
* To ensure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained in good condition at an acceptable standard.
* To regularly update your line Manager with any information that can affect the smooth operation of the feed production department.
Person Specification/Qualifications
Essential:
* Motivated, pro-active, flexible & able to work independently and also part of a team.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow through procedures and processes.
* Highly organised.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good IT skills including MS Outlook & Excel.
Desirable:
* Some previous laboratory experience.
* Knowledge of UK agriculture.
