Job Title: Peripatetic Senior Social Worker –
Location : Cardiff
Rate : £41.58 per hour
Liquid Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Peripatetic Senior Social Worker to join Cardiff County Council. This role will primarily support the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team and contribute to Practice Improvement within the Intake and Assessment team.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will provide high-quality social work services, delivering comprehensive support to unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to ensure their safety, well-being, and development. You will support the UASC Team in delivering effective and efficient services tailored to the unique needs of these children. You will contribute to practice improvement by engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and effectiveness of social work practices within the Intake and Assessment team. Conducting thorough assessments to understand the needs and circumstances of children and families, you will develop appropriate care plans and provide ongoing support and intervention, adapting to their evolving needs. Collaborative work will be essential, as you will work closely with other professionals and agencies to foster a multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records that comply with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will participate in team activities, including team meetings, supervision sessions, and training opportunities, to support professional development and team cohesion.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you must have Social Care Wales registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, have post-qualified experience, and hold a degree level or equivalent in Social Work. You must also have significant experience in working with children and families, particularly within the context of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
