Job Title: Painter - Social Housing
Location: Northampton
Monday- Friday.
Working via the council.
Key Responsibilities:
To carry out painting and decorating work as specified to Council housing stock, both occupied and unoccupied properties.
To carry out Internal or external decorating to Council properties either Domestic or Commercial/ Corporate, to a high standard.
To work off ladders scaffolds or 'Cherry Picker' as required and to be aware of all hazards involved, when at working heights.
To be conversant with COSHH regulations and able to implement safety recommendation required.
To deliver a fast, efficient service to a high standard.
To have current driving licences and have experience driving commercial vehicle under 3.5 tonnes.
To carry out other work of a similar nature from time to time
To participate in the council Development and Productivity Scheme.
Ability to identify harmful substances for example Asbestos bearing Materials and MDF.
Perform painting and decorating tasks in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, and priming.
Apply various types of paint and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools.
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to ensure project success.
Complete work orders and documentation accurately and on time.Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Painter, with a focus on social housing
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
CSCS
Own brushes and tools and PPE
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
Reliable and punctual with good time management skills.
