£16.00 per hour Location : Bristol We have Full time and Bank positions available For this position it is essential that you have a background in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern. Ideally your experience will be in community base settings, such as supported living and/or residential care. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be an advantage. You will play a pivotal role in providing person-centred support for adults with complex behavioural needs and communication difficulties in achieving their goals. You will be supporting people to develop essential life skills and independence. As a key team player your responsibilities will include: Providing person-centred support. Collaborating with the people we support to create and implement tailored support plans. Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and interventions to improve their quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern. Assisting the people we support to develop essential life skills such as cooking, personal hygiene, budgeting, and household management. Supporting with medication, medical appointments, and maintaining good quality health and well-being. Supporting with community activities and enabling the people we support to engage in social events, access local services, build meaningful relationships and improve their quality of life. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive care records, documenting progress, incidents, and outcomes as required. Working closely with your colleagues, families, external professionals, and other agencies to ensure holistic care for the people we support. Hours We provide support on a 24/7 basis with staffing ratios of 1:1 and 2:1 support. You will be expected to support on a rotational basis working 12-hour and 15-hour shifts.
