The CAPEX Estimation Analyst role will provide support to the management of key CAPEX estimations (of material investment to be presented to the corresponding Operational Committee) within its UK Projects and Construction Onshore business constructing a vast portfolio of windfarms, Solar and Battery Projects across the UK and Ireland.
This role will include working closely with wider Projects and Construction teams, Legal, Insurance, Financial, Global Main Equipment, Global Engineering Dept and Group Purchasing teams to ensure CAPEX estimations are managed effectively.
The role will report to the CAPEX & Contracts Manager and engage with the CAPEX & Contracts Team on development and implementation of Commercial Management for ScottishPower Renewables Onshore Projects and Construction Business.
The CAPEX Estimation Analyst will support defining estimating strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating, and managing multi-million-pound onshore Equipment Supply and Project implementation estimations.
Providing skilled CAPEX estimation coordination through robust understanding of SPR business requirements to support current and future business strategy.
What you'll be doing
You will support the Development cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned estimating projects.
Supporting the tender processes for project works and supplies. Monitor and ensure bid format meet internal standards.
Liaise across the management of Framework Agreements by defining the best allocation strategy for ongoing projects.
You will analyse the outcome of the economic closure of implemented projects and lessons learned for CAPEX improvements in future projects.
What you'll bring
* Educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Commercial Discipline.
* Experience in managing and coordinating ITT (invitation to tender) Documentation, Tender Processes, Project Delivery, Component Supply and Engineering estimations.
* Good all-round understanding of commercial and business principles.
* Possess a solid understanding of the commercial processes associated with Industrial scale Construction Projects (ideally with Renewable Project experience).
* Superior organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
* Ability to navigate/coordinate through technical questions.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to review options, anticipate risks and make decisions.
* Effective working as part of a multidimensional team.
* Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
