Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Mental Health Homeless Team (MHHT) in the role of a Community Psychiatric Nurse. Based in East Brighton Community Mental Health Centre, MHHT is a small multi-disciplinary specialist team providing assessment, treatment and support to homeless or insecurely housed people who have a severe and enduring mental illness and who may have additional substance misuse problems. Main duties of the job You will conduct complex assessments and risk assessments in a variety of settings, and manage a complex caseload as a lead practitioner. We aim to provide a direct and assertive outreach service, working in partnership with other local homeless agencies from both the statutory and voluntary sector. You will require a basic understanding of housing legislation as it relates to Brighton and Hove and be familiar with recent changes in social legislation as it relates to this client group.
