Oxford Global is seeking an experienced and dynamic Managing Editor to lead the editorial direction of our market-leading brands, shape our thought leadership strategy, and play a key role in delivering our Digital Business Strategy. Role Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Creation
* Define and implement content strategies that align with Oxford Global’s business goals and audience needs.
* Develop editorial roadmaps and content calendars alongside our conference production directors & informed by insights from the life sciences community and market trends.
* Guiding the editorial content team in creating compelling content for the successful launch of our three new digital content platforms in 2025.
Content Contribution and Distribution
* Build and manage a network of contributors, including industry thought leaders, sponsors and external partners.
* Oversee the distribution of content across multiple platforms, including websites, newsletters, social media, and syndication partners.
* Ensure all content adheres to SEO best practices to drive organic growth and audience engagement.
Content Management and Thought Leadership
* Lead the editorial team to produce high-quality, engaging content, including long-form articles, industry interviews, and opinion pieces.
* Chair monthly online thought leadership discussion groups and webinars, fostering engaging and meaningful conversations with the life sciences community.
Marketing and Commercialisation
* Collaborate with vendors and industry clients to create impactful content, including sponsored webinars, technology showcases, and insightful case studies.
* Drive the commercialisation of content by integrating marketing strategies to generate leads and deliver measurable business outcomes.
* Partner with the marketing team to track content performance and optimise strategies for engagement, audience growth, and monetisation.
We are looking for someone with:
* You will be an experienced and proactive leader who can drive innovation, inspire teams, and deliver measurable results.
* Proven experience managingeditorial teams and developing successful content strategies, ideally within the life sciences or related fields.
* Expertise in content marketing & production workflows, and the abilityto align contentwith business objectives.
* Knowledge of AI tools for content creationand the abilityto govern their effective use.
* Strong collaboration skills,with the abilityto engage event production and marketing teams, external stakeholders, and a geographically diverse audience.
* A proactive and innovative mindset, with a keen eye for identifying trends and opportunities to maintain Oxford Global’s leadership in the industry.
More about the role:
* Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
* Location: All our roles are hybrid (a mix of remote and in office). Our offices are located on the Botley Road in Oxford, with shops/restaurants within walking distance and easy access into Oxford City Centre.
* Job Type: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
