Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 15:45

Our expanding SEN school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our committed teaching and therapy teams.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to create a nurturing and supportive environment where students can excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our school provides specialist day placements for students with communication, interaction, and learning challenges, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
We focus on supporting pupils who face barriers to learning due to developmental differences or anxieties.
With small class sizes of up to 10 students and a minimum of three staff members per class, you will have the opportunity to provide tailored support to each child.
Additionally, you will work alongside an experienced Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and have access to an on-site clinical support team.
- Develop warm, caring relationships with pupils, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Promote independence and personal growth, helping pupils exceed expectations in behaviour and self-development.
- Support the delivery of a broad, balanced, and high-quality curriculum, tailored to meet individual student needs.
- Assist the class teacher in daily classroom activities and contribute to the efficient operation of the school.
- Adapt to the changing needs of students, supporting their cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Collaborate with a multi-professional team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Minimum GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience working with students with SEMH and ASD.
- Must be commutable to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
