Responsibilities of a Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team:
16. As a social worker within the safeguarding team you will be joining a dynamic and rejuvenated team, where you will be assessing and supporting families through some of the most complex times of their lives.
17. You will be expected to understand risk and be able to work with a variety of agencies in order to work together to safeguard and reduce the risks around children at times of need.
18. As a safeguarding social worker you will have a mixture of casework relating to children in need and child protection
19. You will also have to undertake court work, supported by your practice development manager and team manager as required
Requirements:
20. Social Work Qualification
21. 1+ years experience
22. Newly Qualified Social Workers currently working through their ASYE are welcome to apply
23. Social Work England registration
24. A passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
25. A creative and innovative approach
26. Experience of working in a similar team would be desirable
