Passive Fire Risk Assessor / Firestopping responsibilities include: Undertake Compartmentation / Fire Stopping Surveys and inspections onsite. Deliver work and reporting to an exceptional quality standard. Review work undertaken by third parties to assure client of effectiveness. Check ‘unseen’ areas such as above suspended ceilings, ceiling tiles or within ducts, for appropriate fire stopping and cavity barriers. Material and installation assessment of existing service penetration seals. Thoroughly assess areas to include where escape routes need separation from the main premises through additional compartment construction. Assess length of timed doors, walls, floors and ceilings, ensuring they provide smoke and fire resistance capabilities. Assessment of any other specific issues relating to the fire compartmentation, such as equipment present and access requirements. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external clients. Passive Fire Risk Assessor / Firestopping profile: Fire Protection Association (FPA) - Passive Fire protection – Intermediate Course (L3) Ideally, IFE Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection. A NVQ Level 3 Passive Fire Protection Course ASFP Foundation Course in Passive Fire Protection Level 3 beneficial Min 10yrs experience as a Passive Fire Risk Assessor with ideally 5yrs in surveying / inspections. Have or have had or eligible for SC clearance (must have lived & worked n the UK for the last 5yrs and be a UK citizen) Confident communication skills and report writing abilities Comprehensive understanding of current UK Building Regulations, and fire safety requirements. You will hold a full, clean driving license and have your own transport.
