The vacancy Are you an experienced pre-delivery technical manager able to take ownership of the technical aspects of residential developments before construction begins? If so, you belong at Bromford Reporting to the head of technical, you'll play a crucial role in supporting new business and pre-construction teams by providing technical due diligence, value engineering, and risk management expertise. You will oversee the design process, assess and mitigate technical risks, and ensure cost-effective, high-quality solutions. Your role will involve reviewing site constraints, conducting technical appraisals, and safeguarding Bromford's interests in land acquisitions. Collaborating closely with internal teams, consultants, and regulatory bodies you'll ensure smooth project progression and compliance with planning, building regulations, and CDM 2015 standards. This role is permanent and full time. You'll be based from our Chipping Sodbury office with regular travel across Bristol and Gloucestershire. Regular home working is available. You will have: Expertise in residential development, design management, and construction techniques. Proficiency in Viewpoint 4P/Conject, and MS Office. Strong understanding of land ownership, planning conditions, and statutory compliance. Problem-solving skills with experience in risk management and cost analysis. A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (HND/HNC considered). Extensive experience in technical management, pre-construction, or housing development. Proven track record in design management, engineering solutions, and project delivery. Experience liaising with utility providers and regulatory bodies. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and budget management skills.
