Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a leading global engineering manufacturer of compressed air systems.
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment including, compressors, blowers and dryers, condensate treatment, filtration and similar at customer sites across the Midland areas. Full product training provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role:
1. Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites across the Midlands, including Birmingham, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
2. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, and other compressed air products.
3. Maintain, repair and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the Midlands.
4. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
5. Install compressed air and pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
6. Commute to the office near Birmingham 2/3 times a week for parts collection and training.
7. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Requirements:
1. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
2. Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
3. The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
4. Field servicing background in electrical or mechanical engineering such as compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, diesel engines, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics and / or electro mechanical engineering equipment.
5. Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
6. A technical engineering degree / qualification, BCAS DIPCAM, FGas or apprentice trained, would be advantageous.
7. Willingness to travel and commute to Birmingham occasionally to collect parts.
