Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Product Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role,
you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards throughout concept to production. You will play a key role in
identifying and mitigating potential quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring customer
satisfaction.
● Drawing Quality Checks & Sign-off: Review and approve engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, tolerance analysis and compliance with industry standards.
● Process & Production Design: Participate in the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes, including production line layouts, assembly methods, and tooling.
● Quality Control: Implement and monitor robust quality control systems, including inspection procedures, sampling plans, release criteria and statistical process control (SPC) techniques with cpk/ppk
● Product Quality Audits: Conduct regular internal and external quality audits to assess product conformance and identify areas for improvement to ISO9001
● FMEA Analysis: Conduct thorough Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), including Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Process FMEA (PFMEA), to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and failures.
● Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/DFA): Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure
products are designed for optimal manufacturability and assembly.
● Measuring Reports: Generate and analyse measuring reports, MSAs, ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and specifications.
● Document Review Reports: Conduct thorough reviews of all relevant documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality plans connected to the NPD process.
● Process Jigs & Fixtures Ownership: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and other production tooling.
● Part & Assembly Quality Accountability: Ensure the quality of all parts and assemblies throughout the production process, from raw materials to finished goods.
What you need to succeed:
● Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Experience:
● 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
● Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
● Proficiency in FMEA, DFM/DFA, and other quality engineering tools and methodologies.
● Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
● Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
● Experience with ERP and/or PLM systems is a plus.
