Finishing Manager
Worcester – covering various Sanctuary sites across the Midlands region
£40,586 - £42,722 per year
40 hours per week
We have an excellent opportunity for a Finishing Manager to join our team within the internal Construction Department, Beech Grove Homes. The wider team is responsible for the construction of new build homes for rent, shared ownership, and sale. In this role you will carry out the remediation of defects to our new build homes and agree works in accordance with specifications and within contractual timescales. Ensuring the works are carried out to agreed standards and highlight and rectify any defective works through the management system whilst liaising with customers and keeping them up to date. The role of Finishing Manager will include:
* Ensure Contractors are completing works to agreed timescales and quality standards and highlight any issues to both the subcontractors and management
* Manage subcontractors during their works on site
* Manage on site health and safety ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and company policy and procedures
* Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
* Manage the coordination, communication and maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders including subcontractors and suppliers
* Assist operational staff in resolving difficult problems, ensuring customers are kept informed
* Make appropriate recommendations and provide timely solutions to ensure construction projects are delivered in line with legislative and regulatory requirements
* Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation for completed work is collated and passed on to the relevant teams
Skills and experiences:
* Relevant experience in one or more relevant trade and experience of undertaking a similar role within a building maintenance or construction management environment
* Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
* Proven experience analysing and diagnosing complex problems and implementing effective solutions
* Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

* £40,586 per annum (rising to £42,722 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
The full time equivalent salary for this role is £35,513 based on 35 hours per week rising to £37,382 after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
