Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their OT Assessment Team.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist input for individuals with complex needs, primarily focusing on those with neurological diagnoses. Working across the borough, you will deliver high-quality care to clients in their homes, collaborating closely with families, carers, and local authorities.
Job responsibilities
1. Conducting assessments for complex equipment and home adaptations to support client independence.
2. Collaborating with the council's adaptation teams for major adaptations referrals, including joint home visits.
3. Providing specialist care and interventions for patients with neurological conditions.
4. Developing tailored care plans in partnership with clients, their families, and carers.
5. Ensuring smooth communication between multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* A degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential, as this role involves borough-wide travel).
Experience
* Significant experience working with clients with neurological diagnoses.
* Proven expertise in assessing and recommending complex equipment and adaptations.
* Ability to work effectively within the client's home environment and engage with families and carers.
