Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Under-12 Child Protection Team
Location: Dunbartonshire
Rate: £37.27 per hour
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join the Under-12 Child Protection Team in Dunbartonshire.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will assess the needs of children, young people, and their families or carers using the Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) National Practice model, national Child Protection standards, and other relevant policies. You will develop tailored responses, including individual, parenting, and group work, to address identified needs. Creating SMART care plans will be central to your work, outlining detailed activities for the team around the child to support their safety and well-being. Your role involves providing statutory reports such as integrated assessment reports, child protection assessments, and reports for the Children’s Hearing and Court systems. You will work closely with other professionals to improve outcomes for children at risk, promote family participation in care planning, and ensure accountability through clear assessment, planning, and review procedures. You will also contribute to service improvement and self-evaluation activities.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving license, and possess a degree or equivalent in Social Work. You should also have post-qualified experience and the skills needed to deliver effective and professional support.
