As an HVDC Operations & Maintenance Planner, you'll be based at our Blyth converter station, working closely with the maintenance team onsite. You'll have fundamental responsibility of turning maintenance workstacks into delivery strategy and assigning maintenance tasks through Maximo (Asset Management System), covering the whole converter station and onshore cables.
North Sea Link (NSL), a joint venture with Norwegian system operator Statnett, stretches 720 kilometres under the North Sea, at depths of up to 700 metres. NSL is an interconnector capable of sharing up to 1400 megawatts of electricity – enough to power around 1.4 million UK homes. That’s a job anyone can be proud of.
Key accountabilities
* Scheduling of Planned and Unplanned Work Orders, ensuring the correct skilled resources are assigned to each task.
* Liaise with site Engineers to determine resource and equipment requirements for unplanned maintenance to allow efficient scheduling.
* Track all planned and unplanned outages.
* Ensure our work management system is kept up to date and follow up with any outstanding work orders.
* Co-ordinate with contractors and other internal NGV departments for all site activities.
About you
* Experience in a Project Planner or similar role.
* Familiarity with project management techniques.
* Familiarity with Operations & Maintenance manuals and technical drawings.
* Experience of an Asset Management system (Maximo or equivalent) is desirable.
