Job Description Senior Buyer Full Time – 37.5 hours per week Bedford/Remote Working As a Senior Buyer, you will be involved in the delivery of key elements of the Medical Surgical & Pharmacy procurement category strategy and work plan. Reporting into the Category Lead, you will be encouraged to bring fresh ideas and thinking in delivering outstanding value for our stakeholders. We have recently deployed a new e-Sourcing platform within the Procurement Function which brings a one stop shop for all of our sourcing and contract management capabilities. We also have the mandate to drive cost efficiency across our portfolio and bring value propositions to Ramsay Health Care UK functions and our business colleagues across the UK. What you will be doing: Contributing to the development of the Medical Surgical & Pharmacy category work plan Initiating and delivering category projects and targets, supporting the delivery of wider team targets and operational KPI’s Having a visible presence in the business and building credibility with key stakeholders Ensuring a robust procurement process for all contracted goods and services, identifying, and meeting all regulatory and quality standards Negotiating robust contracts, including pricing and commercial terms and the development of SLA’s and KPI’s to support operational requirements. Ensuring compliance with all Procurement policies and processes Supporting the development of global procurement initiatives and their local implementation Managing core/non-core suppliers to ensure performance and innovation are delivered during the contract term. Deputise for Category Lead when required Support junior team members sharing your knowledge and expertise What you will bring: You will be a self-starter, able to work with senior business stakeholders to successfully deliver complex sourcing projects in a multi-site organisation and be familiar with e-Procurement systems. Strong credibility, business facing influencing skills, negotiation and supplier management skills are as important as the professional track record in delivering business benefits from sourcing projects.
