We are currently seeking a P/T GP to join Horsman's Place Surgery, for which we offer £11,000-£11,500 per session, per annum, and a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement. Main duties of the job
As a GP in our practice, you will be responsible for providing primary medical services to the registered patients of the practice, ensuring the highest standards of care for all, undertaken in line with the relevant national primary care contractual regulations and guidelines. You will provide care for both on-the-day patients and pre-booked patients with long-term conditions, along with some administrative tasks.

We are a friendly, supportive training practice in Dartford, Kent, with approximately 9,300 patients. We provide a wide range of services, including asthma/COPD and diabetes clinics, childhood immunisations, travel advice, and minor surgery. We have a multidisciplinary team that includes GPs, paramedic practitioners, physiotherapists, a pharmacy team, and advanced practitioners.

Job responsibilities
All normal duties and responsibilities associated with a salaried GP working within primary care as set by the regulatory and standard-setting organisations, including but not limited to the points below:
1. Surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and E-consults, triaging, checking and authorising repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, patient test results, patient medical reports, and examinations.
2. Provide health promotion and advice, signposting patients to appropriate services to maximise their health and social functioning and their ability to self-manage their care.
3. Be constantly mindful of the need for the provision of personalised care and population health, including reducing health inequalities and ensuring that these are reflected in daily practice.
4. Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting patients, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers.
5. Assess the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, taking appropriate action as necessary.
6. Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, taking appropriate action as necessary.
7. Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards using IT systems.
8. Prescribe in accordance with locally agreed or nationally agreed prescribing formulary.
9. Work in accordance with all relevant clinical guidelines, pathways, and protocols.
10. Responsible for tasks delegated to them, appropriate to their level of in-hours duty doctor sessions; to be agreed.
11. Participate in continuing professional development, annual GP appraisal, revalidation, and appropriate peer supervision, remaining up to date on professional developments as required by their professional body.
12. Ensure that they remain up to date with and implement all relevant good clinical practice guidance (e.g., NICE guidance).
13. Active engagement with the professional development lead to promote patient safety and quality of service.
14. Participation in a range of clinical governance activities, including clinical audit and quality improvement activities deemed necessary by external accrediting bodies.
15. Ensure that the requirements of the Care Quality Commission are reflected in their day-to-day practice and maintain and develop the practice's active management of CQC requirements.

* Currently on a performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register.
* Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
