Professional Apprenticeship â Trainee Planner \n\nWe're looking for bright and motivated school leavers who will bring energy, new ideas and a fresh perspective to help us become the recognised leader and transform the construction and engineering industry. \n\nRole Overview \nAs a trainee planner, you will work with a project planner to provide construction planning support. This role will have a high degree of learning as you hone your planning and interpersonal skills. \n â¢\tInitially produce detailed project programmes with assistance from the Project Planner and members of the project team \nâ¢\tBecome competent in producing programes unaided across all elements of a project including design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.\nâ¢\tDevelop an understanding of construction delivery techniques and methodologies.\nâ¢\tLiaise with the project teams to capture / collate weekly project progress, marking up charts and drawings as necessary with as built information to support the \n communication of project progress within the project team.\nâ¢\tCommunicate with internal departments to give and receive information.\nâ¢\tCollate production output m/wk or m/man per technique .\nâ¢\tBecome conversant in the use of Planning Project Management software packages, such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject and Synchro.\nâ¢\tAssist in the development of the project specific planning and production control systems.\nâ¢\tAssist in the production of detailed schedules itemising key logistical constraints.\nâ¢\tAssist in the development of design information release and material delivery schedules to site.\nâ¢\tAssist in producing project progress reports. \n SQA Highers at ABBB or equivalent; \nâ¢\tA-Levels at ABC or BBB; \nâ¢\tScottish Baccalaureate Pass; \nâ¢\tInt. Baccalaureate 29 points. \nâ¢\tFoundation Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering in conjunction with SQA Highers at AAB. \nâ¢\tA combination of qualifications totalling 96 SCQF credits at level 6, or Minimum 126 UCAS points\n
