We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant HR Officer (Pensions and Reporting) to enhance our People Services team based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. You'll join us on a Permanent contract working 37 hours per week, in return you will receive a competitive salary staring at £28,624 rising to £31,067 (gross) per annum.

About the role:
As our Assistant HR Officer (Pensions and Reporting) you will collate, analyse and report on pensions data to support time-critical work including project work. You will also maintain an accurate audit trail and records in support of the pensions project and other work, providing support to the Pensions team and assisting with managing email and telephone queries. You will be responsible for elements of regular reporting.

Key responsibilities of our Assistant HR Officer (Pensions and Reporting):
1. To support the Pensions Officers in collating payroll and HR information required for pension reporting purposes.
2. Supporting the Pensions function in interpreting the data by raising and assisting in the solution of queries.
3. To assist in the provision of accurate information to the pension administrator for individuals leaving the Service.
4. Develop an understanding of the pension schemes available to the employees of the Service in order to sign post staff to access available information and to respond to basic queries.
5. To be responsible for maintaining and updating essential spreadsheets, databases and systems, in accordance with GDPR. This will include the input and processing of data and preparation, analysis and distribution of reports and information, and taking any associated follow up action.
6. To provide support to other members of the team, including but not exclusive of the following: Administration and clerical duties such as writing correspondence and/or documents for internal and external recipients with on own initiative or as directed. Using and amending Service wide standard letters / paragraphs and other media. Dealing with general queries through various media. Diary management, organising and attending meetings, preparing documents and data prior to meetings. Putting into the required format and photocopying / scanning documents. Answering calls, dealing with general enquiries and taking messages. Maintenance of departmental filing / monitoring systems (hard copy and electronic).
7. To support the People Services team with the development of reporting functionality.
