The post holder will be a Senior Recovery Practitioner/Nurse working in the Orthopaedic Theatres at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, supporting and maintaining a high standard of patient care; working in accordance with Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
To participate with the on call out of hours rota.
Develop leadership skills and experience in the management of the department.
Assist the Theatre co-ordinator in leading the team, ensuring the theatre services are efficiently and effectively utilised.
Review both nursing and theatre practice and implement appropriate changes based on research/best practice.
Be an effective role model, and teach and act as a facilitator/mentor/preceptor to members of the team.
Provide and maintain effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, both within and out of the operating departments.
