Main duties of the job The post holder will support the work of the Acute and Community Dietetic Teams to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of the Dietetic Service. This includes administrative tasks, data collection and resource development. To carry out a range of administrative tasks as required by the Acute and Community Dietetic Service. Uploading referrals in a timely manner; directing patients to the most appropriate care pathway within the service e.g. general dietetics, or Specialist services or home visits/ outpatient clinics or group sessions; communicating with patients to book appointments and sending dietetic resources; supporting the management of inappropriate referrals by contacting referrers and signposting patients with dietetic supervision; outcoming clinics and supporting the dietitian with other clinic related admin. To use a range of IT systems, including a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to record activities and caseload.
