Fitch Ratings Business Relationship Management (BRM) is currently seeking a Market Research Associate based out of our London office.
The role is based within the Business Relationship Management (BRM) group which leads business development and marketing efforts for Fitch Rating's Structured Credit & CLO market segment within the Structured Finance franchise across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
The BRM team is responsible for the growth and development of the Structured Credit & CLO portfolio through a two-pronged approach leveraging relationships with senior decision makers in issuing entities and investment banks with the principal objective to generate new rating mandates and retaining existing ones. This role will suit someone who is seeking to develop a career in a business development or relationship management/marketing role.

We'll Count on You To:
1. Support the EMEA CLO & Structured Credit BRM Team
o Assist in ad hoc requests from the European CLO BRM team including:
+ Preparing engagement letters through the Contract Lifecycle Management system.
+ Organizing meetings.
+ Updating the contacts database.
+ Monthly reporting and KPIs analysis.
o Regularly liaise with internal teams such as:
+ Accounts team to help deal with open billing queries.
+ Legal team to assist in contractual changes requested by clients.
2. Market Research and Analysis
o Contribute to the analysis of securitisation market data using systems (e.g., LCD News, CreditSights, etc.), which monitor market activity.
o Identify trends relevant to Fitch Rating's commercial effort in support of BRM's wider marketing strategy.
o Researching and maintaining the market share data entry process on a daily/frequent basis.
3. Regulatory
o Ensure the CLO BRM team meets regulatory requirements by:
+ Running sanction searches and KYC checks on all engaged entities.
+ Updating the system with related transaction information and monitoring all engaged transactions.
4. Preparation of Marketing Materials
o Responsible for the preparation of pitch books, monthly market share slides and the development of other marketing materials as required in support of CLO BRM team marketing efforts.
5. Financial Reporting Analysis
o Manage the EMEA CLO Pipeline and Projections.
o Produce monthly management information and reporting for the EMEA region.
What You Need to Have:
* Knowledge of CRM systems, specifically Salesforce and SAP (Accounting systems).
* Strong Excel skills with demonstrable knowledge of data research, reporting and analysis, showcasing excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication and presentation skills; verbal & written - Demonstrable knowledge of preparing marketing materials using Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
* Self-starter with strong delivery and time management ethos; first-class organisational skills.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
* Strong preference for candidates with experience in or exposure to Structured Finance (CLO, RMBS, ABS, CMBS) or Capital Markets/Leveraged Finance.
* Aptitude to work with market data systems such as Bloomberg, LCD News, Creditsights, etc.
* Budgeting and financial reporting experience is advantageous.
