In our ‘Consult’ engine, you’ll join a global team where we work closely with clients to understand their challenges and offer fresh ideas grounded in innovation and sustainability. We provide advisory and project delivery services, guiding clients through every phase of their projects, from initial strategy and planning to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. While we collaborate closely with clients and visit project sites, Consult is centred on producing creative solutions to their individual challenges.
What you’ll do
In Project Controls, you will support Project Management Offices (PMO) and Project Controls teams to implement and deliver a wide range of PMO and Project Controls services to support assigned projects within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting administration of PMO and Project Controls process on a project operating under supervision and mentorship of more senior PMO, Project Controls or Project/Programme Management professionals assigned to commission.
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly reports as required.
* Contributing to the facilitation and delivery of performance reporting and reviews.
* Assisting in the development PMO and Project controls methodologies such as EVM.
* Contributing to the delivery of all PMO and Planning disciplines (such as Risk Management and Planning)
* Supporting to ensure that all PMO and Project Controls activity is aligned to Mace Control Centre.
* Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You will also work towards gaining professional membership of a professional association, fully funded and supported by us. Depending on your existing qualifications and your career goals, options include the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Association of Project Management (APM), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

About you
* A future or recent graduate with a Part 2 RIBA accredited bachelor’s degree or higher in Architectural Design or CIAT accredited bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology
* 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
Given the nature of our work, flexibility is key. Our projects and clients are based in various locations, so you should be prepared to travel frequently to different project sites or Mace offices. A positive and adaptable approach to travel is therefore essential, as it may be a regular part of your role. To support this, Mace offers travel expense reimbursements for business travel, including mileage, public transport fares, and, where necessary, accommodation.
